Of course the way you would disconnect a Verizon telephone line is to call Verizon Customer Service. I realize that can sometimes turn into a very frustrating experience. What I do in such a case is:
In that case (Verizon or any other publically traded company)... I would go the Security and Exchange Commision's public filings site. You can search for the "EDGAR" Files by company name.
When I did a search for Verizon with the default options... there was just one pretty much uninformative document, but it did give:
BUSINESS ADDRESS:
STREET 1: 140 WEST STREET
STREET 2: 29TH FLOOR
CITY: NEW YORK
STATE: NY
ZIP: 10007
BUSINESS PHONE: 212-395-1000
Now, at least I have their business address and phone!
Going back to the Edgar page, I find that there is a Company Name Search. That comes up with 24 companies with the name Verizon in them... I clicked till I found the one with the same business adddress...
Now I have a long, long list of reports to view. I scrolled down to the 10-Q, their quarterly report. It has far more information than you could possible want to know... and one little bit that will get your problem resolved...
