For a couple years my wife has has a Virgin Mobile phone she uses when she goes to the USA. Before the process was pretty simple. Sign up on on the web, ie: enter the phones ESN, program the phone and a few hours after arrival in the USA the phone is working.The only problem in the past was arguing with them over whether the phone works at the Miami Airport. The phone seems to work fine there, but doesn't seem to get activated from there... and the support is moronic, as they don't actually check and see if the phone has registered in the system.
Today, it was a bit different. I entered the ESN and selected my payment plane. Next came the surprise...
