FCC to reduce info gathered on phone complaints

The Federal Communications Commission will be cutting out the amount of information it will take on bad phone service complaints.

There is still no formal memo, but as early as now, consumers are gearing up to file a protest against the action. According to them, this will just lead to more telephone operators intentionally letting their networks to slide down.

Problem with Verizon Phone Rate Quotes

Trapping customers by misquoting rates. This seems to be the new tactic by Verizon phone managers nowadays.

An informal survey was conducted by the owner of Eyeless Writer and it showed that a significant amount of these calls had phone officers misquoting their rate prices--by as much as 100 times less than the actual price! If that isn't incompetency, then I don't know what it is.

Skype's Downfalls

Sometimes relying in technology too much can do you harm. Like what happened to Klaus Zimmerman, a computer repairman living in Wexford County, Ireland when someone hijacked his Skype account and edited his personal details. He reported this to Skype's support and luckily he was able to reunite with his account but the sad part is all of his contacts were erased. He's lucky, his attacker did not do nasty stuff like God know what he can do with Skype and Paypal.
